It dates back to about 3000 BC in the historical city of Ur in Mesopotamia.

The Laws Of The Game

  1. Both players receive a set of fifteen discs (15) discs for each player.
  2. Disc placement is performed in turn.
  3. The goal of Backgammon is to take your disks out of the game box before the opponent lootes taking out their disks.
  4. In this game the player tries to prevent his opponent from advancing in the game.
  5. The distances in the board are triangles called points, in order to represent the points on the board game.
  6. Each point on the board is numbered with a specific number, and the number of numbers is (24) numbers on the plates.
  7. The first point in the board takes the number (1) while the last point in the board takes the number (24), and the arrangement of the numbers is clockwise.
  8. The player moves his discs according to the number that appeared as a result of throwing the dice or dice.
  9. The player remains in progress on his disks until he reaches the side on his side, in which the opponent used to place his disks for the beginning.
  10. The player's task is to prevent his opponent from reaching the opposite side.
  11. At the beginning of the game a dice is taken and thrown, and the player who gets the highest number is the one who starts playing.
  12. Initially playing on one disc until reaching the opponent's side.
  13. Then you can move more than one disk, depending on the dice each time.
  14. The player can pass the fields occupied by the opponent, but it is not possible to stand in the same box.
  15. The winner is the one who can bring all of his pieces to the side of his side and then take them out.

Dice Numbers Names

Each of the dice numbers has a distinguished name in the game of backgammon. The origin of the names of these numbers is from Persian:
1 = Ik
2 = du
3 = ss
4 = Speakers
5 = Bing
6 = shish
If the player rolls the two dice and shows two different numbers, for example (1 -6), then the player says Shishik, given that the name of the first number is said first. But if the same number appears as (1-1) on the dice, then the player says Iike you.

The Movement

To start the game, each player throws one dice one time, and the player whose dice score a number higher than the opponent player dice, begins moving his pieces, but if the two numbers are equal, the process is repeated until one of them outperforms the other. The dice must lie completely flat and be cast to the right of the board. The player whose dice came with a higher number plays, and after that the two players play the two dice in their roles, and if the player throws the dice and comes with numbers 6 and 3 (referred to as "6-3"), the player must move one piece with six points forward, and another piece or The piece itself has three other points. The same piece can be moved twice, as long as the two movements can be done separately: six then three, or three and then six. If the player rolls the dice and comes with the same two numbers, he plays the number 4 times. For example, if a player rolls the two dice, and comes with a number of 5-5, the player must make four moves, each of five steps. The player must drag you to cut it according to the numbers that the dice came in, but if the dice comes with a number and the position where the piece will move is two or more pieces of the opponent, he must move another piece, and if he does not have other pieces to move it or the triangles are full of cutting his opponent The other loses his role, and the role is transferred to the opposing player. But if the triangle contains his own piece, he can put the piece on it, but if the player moves a piece and settles in a triangle in which there is only one piece for the opposing player, then the opponent's piece is “hit”, meaning that it exits from the table, and is placed in the middle of the board to the extent that divides Face the table and his opponent must enter it in the next round at the first point in the game, and he cannot move any piece before he enters this piece first. As we have already indicated, a player cannot place two pieces in a triangle occupied by two or more pieces of the opposing player, and therefore there cannot be a point or triangle occupied by cutting both players at the same time. There is no limit to the number of pieces that can occupy a point or triangle at any time in the game. The player moves his pieces either to reach them to the last quarter of the game, which is called "the house" and from him to the last triangle and from it outside the board, or to close the triangles on the pieces of the other player so he cannot move and break, as well as to "hit" his pieces To give him a turn to insert those pieces from the first point.
