Domino game

A domino is a group of 28 rectangular pieces.
Each piece is divided into two parts by a line in the middle and each part has a set of points or circles representing the numbers.
The numbers on each piece are in a specific sequence as if there was a dice but it has 7 faces instead of 6, as it contains an empty plus side that does not contain a point and whenever we throw a piece as if we threw the dice twice where two numbers appear represented by the two parts of the piece separating the line.

There are some pieces that have the same number in both of their 7 parts.

History of the game

Domino pieces are carved from the ivory bone or animal bones with the addition of contrasting points to distinguish the pieces from each other, and the name came from the convergence of the shape with the shape of one of the old masks colored with white and black dots, while the term domino is a Latin word and means the master or Lord.

The way of playing

Played by two players distributed to each player, including 7 pieces, and the rest is placed on the ground and called the clouds.

Initially, both players look at the pieces they own, especially those that have the same number on both sides and the player with the largest number plays the first.  After that, each player tries to get all the pieces that he has before the other as he tries to make the other pull the largest number of pieces on the ground in the clouds.
The player who first scores all the pieces is the winner and calculates the points of the pieces that the other player has and is counted in his balance.

And note that in order for a piece to descend to the ground during play, it must contain in one of its parts a number from the ends of the existing pieces arranged in the ground and placed next to this piece.

If the player does not have any piece that can be placed in the ground, he continues to draw until he finds a piece that can be played or until the whole draw ends, and by this the other player begins playing.

Special cases

In the case of playing three players and not only two, each player takes 9 pieces and there is no withdrawal provided that we exclude the piece that contains in its two parts a vacuum.  In the absence of suitable parts to play with the player, the player next to him plays directly because there is no good draw.  In the case of playing 4 players, each player takes 7 pieces, there is no withdrawal from the outside, and there is no exception for one of the pieces.  In the absence of suitable parts to play with the player, the role is transferred to the player immediately following it, because there is no good draw.

Competitive gameplay

It is playing on a professional level, similar to poker in the form of games and tournaments and is often televised in Latin America and many organizations and clubs including the International Dominoes Federation and the International Federation of Dominoes (Fido).
