Selling Prices In China

In October 2013, China Central Television broadcast an unexpected profit report at Chinese Starbucks restaurants.

A report told reporters that the price comparison of Starbucks Latte (354 ml) coffee in Beijing, Chicago, London and Bombay showed that the price in Beijing was the highest and in Bombay the cheapest.

She said that the latte costs 4 yuan (0.67 US dollars) but the selling price is 27 yuan (4.5 US dollars), so the profit margin for Starbucks in China is higher than in other countries.
