From their point of view, Ukraine and Russia reveal the latest developments in the war

On Monday, Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Hana Maliar revealed the developments on the ground in the war in her country, saying that Russian forces are "regrouping", but "are unable to advance anywhere inside Ukraine."

Maliar said that the Russian forces are trying to reinforce the positions they already control and breach Kyiv's defenses, but they have no chance of seizing the capital.

"Until today, the enemy is regrouping, but it is unable to advance to a place inside Ukraine," she said in a press briefing, without providing evidence of the Russian forces' movements.

On the other hand, the Russian Defense Ministry announced, on Monday, that its forces targeted 36 Ukrainian military facilities, and shot down 5 warplanes and 19 drones, during the last 24 hours of its military operation in Ukraine.

The ministry said in a statement that 4 Ukrainian Su-24 bombers were shot down in the air over the northern Chernihiv province, and a Ukrainian Su-27 fighter was shot down near Kramatorsk in the Donbass.

The statement indicated that the Russian forces shot down 5 missiles fired by Ukrainian "Smerch" launchers, near an airport in Kherson Province, southern Ukraine.

The statement pointed out that among the targets destroyed by the Russian aviation and missile forces during the past day were two missile launchers and an anti-aircraft missile system.

The statement confirmed that a group of Russian forces penetrated two kilometers into the defenses of the 95th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and reached the southern outskirts of the town of Novosilovka in Donetsk.

Units of the forces of the Lugansk People's Republic during the offensive advanced 5 km, captured the towns of Ivanovka and Novosadovoye, and reached the Terni line on the border with the Donetsk Republic, according to Moscow.

Russian forces have destroyed a total of 308 drones, 1,713 tanks and 170 Ukrainian missile launchers since the start of the military operation on February 24, according to an official announcement.
