Like video games.. Russian vehicles hunted in Mariupol

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense published a video clip, which it said was of the hostilities taking place in the city of Mariupol on the Black Sea in the south of the country, in the face of Russian forces.

The Ministry of Defense attached the video, which it published on its official account on Twitter, with a comment that reads: "The wonderful combat actions of our forces continued in the defense of Mariupol".

The video shows a Ukrainian military vehicle engaging in combative confrontations with Russian armored vehicles and destroying them.

Hundreds of civilians were killed in Mariupol since the start of the Russian military operation until Monday, while a convoy of more than 160 cars succeeded in leaving, in the first apparently successful attempt to arrange a "humanitarian corridor" to evacuate civilians from the besieged city.

On Monday, an advisor to Ukrainian President Oleksiy Artsovich said that more than 2,500 residents of the city of Mariupol had been killed since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.

He added that he based this on "figures from the city administration", and accused Russian forces of preventing humanitarian aid from reaching the besieged city on Sunday.

On the other hand, European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said on Monday that more than 2,400 civilians had been killed in Mariupol since the Russian military operation that began last month.

He explained that more than 2.6 million people have fled Ukraine, and that the number of refugees may rise to between 4 and 5 million people, according to Reuters.
