Huge losses in the Russian army.. and talk about the 30-day plan

Britain's military intelligence says Russia may have lost a third of the "military force" it sent to Ukraine, as its struggle continues in the face of stubborn resistance.

In its latest assessment, Britain's Ministry of Defense said the Russian campaign in eastern Ukraine had "lost momentum" and was now "significantly behind schedule".

At a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Berlin, British Foreign Secretary Lise Truss said it was essential to maintain the Kyiv government's support to help it "take out Russia".

"(President) Putin must face sustained defeat in Ukraine, Russia must be contained, and such aggression must not be repeated," she said in a statement.

A British Foreign Office statement said that "Russia has now probably incurred losses of a third of the ground combat force that it carried out in February."

Russian forces are increasingly constrained, with low morale and reduced combat effectiveness, according to the British Ministry of Defense.

The report noted: "Under the current circumstances, it is unlikely that Russia will significantly accelerate its progress in the war during the next 30 days."
