The meeting of the Collective Security Treaty kicked off today, Monday, in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the CSTO plays a very important role in achieving stability in the post-Soviet space, expressing hope that its capabilities and influence will increase.
The Russian president threatened to respond to NATO's expansion in Finland and Sweden, noting that the meeting would discuss operations in Ukraine within a closed meeting of the organization.
American biological laboratories
This comes as Putin confirmed that US biological laboratories on Ukrainian soil were "mainly developing biological weapons."
This came in a statement to Putin during his participation in the Summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in the Russian capital, Moscow, where Putin continued that the main task of these laboratories was "to collect biological materials, study the peculiarities of the spread of viruses and dangerous diseases for their own purposes."
The President continued, "We have long raised the alarm about the biological activities of the United States of America in the post-Soviet space. As we know, (the Pentagon) has established dozens of laboratories and specialized biological centers in our common area, and they are in no way engaged in developing and providing Practical medical aid for the residents of these areas where they started their activities.
Putin said that in the course of the Ukraine military operation, Russia had obtained documented evidence that biological weapons components were created mainly "in areas directly adjacent to our borders."
Exceptional circumstances
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stressed that today's meeting of the Collective Security Organization is taking place in exceptional circumstances.
The Belarusian president blamed Ukraine for the political tension and the military build-up, accusing Kyiv of transferring weapons and spreading rallies in his country's airspace. He also accused the West of launching a large-scale hybrid war against Moscow and Minsk.
We will be run over
He said: "We must confront the expansion of NATO and we have to be united and we will be run over if we are divided."
The Russian President is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization summit, with the presidents of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakhstan, Kassem Jomart, and Kyrgyzstan Sader Gabarov.
Today, Monday, Moscow will host a summit of leaders of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), where they are scheduled to discuss improving the organization's peacekeeping capabilities, in addition to strengthening military cooperation among its members.
