An earthquake with a magnitude of 5 hits Algerian regions

Official Algerian media said, on Sunday, that an earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit areas in the province of Oran, northwest of the country.

The tremor occurred at around 20:17 local time (1917 GMT), and its epicenter was 12 kilometers north of the Qudil region, according to reports, citing the Research Center for Astronomy, Astrophysics and Geophysics.

And Al-Nahar TV quoted the Civil Protection of Oran, that the earthquake did not cause any casualties.
