To prevent destabilization and security in East Africa and the Horn of Africa.. the Foreign Minister sends a message to Ethiopia



Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, said that there is complete solidarity at the level of the League of Arab States and its members to support the cause of the Renaissance Dam and the restoration of water rights to Egypt and Sudan, and the efforts made by the two countries to reach a binding, fair and just solution that allows Ethiopia to benefit from the Nile for development without harming Egypt and Sudan.

"Ethiopia must show the necessary flexibility to reach an agreement so that this does not lead to destabilization and security in the East African region and the Horn of Africa," Shoukry stressed, during a press conference with his Libyan counterpart, Najla al-Manqoush, on Saturday evening.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs focused on Egypt's support for the Libyan Presidential Council during the transitional period to unify and preserve Libyan soil until the holding of the Libyan presidential elections this December.

He continued, "We affirm Egypt's support for the executive authority of the Libyan Presidential Council in performing its mission during the transitional period, restoring security and stability, and implementing all stages of the roadmap for a political solution emanating from the Libyan decision forum and the entitlements related to holding the elections on their scheduled dates on December 24 with the participation of all Libyans."

He added, "We stressed the need for all foreign forces and mercenaries to leave Libya without procrastination or procrastination to achieve a better future and ensure the achievement of Libya's unity and sovereignty.

He explained: “During this conference, we seek to renew the commitment of the international community inside and outside Libya while making arrangements for foreign forces that will open the way for the launch of a stable Libya. We reiterated the push for joint action frameworks aimed at stopping foreign interference and preserving the capabilities of the Libyan people to the concept of the national state and the role of its institutions.” Constitutionalism in imposing sovereignty and achieving stability.
