The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned its nationals who are in Ethiopia to stay in due to the conflict in the north of the country.
The Netherlands has put all cities in Ethiopia in the list of red color, which means “do not travel.” As for the capital, Addis Ababa, it is still orange, which means that travel is only for necessity, especially since the security situation in Addis Ababa is not better.
The Dutch Foreign Ministry called on its nationals not to stay in Ethiopia if there was no urgent need to do so.
Dutch citizens are also required to register with the embassy via the information service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to find out their access details if necessary.
Earlier this week, the US urged Americans to leave the country. Some US embassy personnel are also allowed to leave the country on a voluntary basis, according to US media.
