After describing Putin as a "butcher", the Kremlin responds to Biden

The TASS news agency quoted a Kremlin spokesman as saying on Saturday that the new statements made by US President Joe Biden about his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, narrow the prospects for reforming relations between the two countries.

Biden described Putin as a "butcher", during a visit to Poland, a member of NATO.

Biden said he did not believe Russia was changing its strategy in Ukraine, despite it faltering in some areas.

Moscow denies targeting civilians during what it called a "special military operation" it launched in Ukraine on February 24.

It is not the first time that the US President has used harsh words against Putin, who is considered the main responsible for the Russian attack on Ukraine, which left thousands of dead. Biden recently called Putin twice a "war criminal", prompting a response from the Kremlin by saying that these statements were "unforgivable."
