The Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls on the West to stop the policy of double standards

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called for an end to discrimination in the application of international law towards civilians, and to exert the necessary pressure on the occupying state to force it to stop the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip for the eighth day in a row.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry explained, in a statement today, Saturday, that it is continuing its political, diplomatic and legal movement to mobilize the broadest international condemnations against the targeting of Palestinian civilians, and to push Western countries to stop the policy of double standards towards Palestinian civilians and the abhorrent selectivity in applying international law regarding the lives of civilians.

It stressed the need for urgent international action to achieve an immediate cessation of the aggression, to ensure the arrival of basic needs to the Gaza Strip, including water, electricity, medical and food supplies, and others, and to force the occupying state to abide by international law towards Palestinian civilians.

It also condemned the open war of occupation against the Palestinian people and their rights in general, and against civilians in the Gaza Strip in particular, which is subject to genocide and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.

She stressed the need for Western countries to step out of the framework of international double standards in cooperation with civilian victims, and to give consideration to the blood and suffering of Palestinian civilians as others do.
