The Egyptian army: It is not wise to test the reaction of our armed forces



The spokesman for the Egyptian armed forces, Colonel Gharib Abdel Hafez, confirmed that "his country's forces are well aware of the regional challenges," and that "it is not wise to test the response of the Egyptian armed forces."

In a statement to "Sada Al-Balad" channel, he said: "Your sons of the armed forces are well aware of all the variables, regional challenges and international changes that are raging in our region, and the extent of their impact on Egyptian national security, and what this requires in maintaining the highest levels of readiness and readiness."

He added, "It is not wise, in light of these capabilities and the high strength of deterrence, to test the reaction of the Egyptian armed forces."

He pointed out that "the armed forces were keen during the last period to develop and modernize the naval forces and increase their ability to secure the maritime domain along the coasts of about 2,936 km on the shores of the Mediterranean and Red Bahrain, and to provide them with the latest weapons and naval equipment in the world."

He referred to the establishment of a number of military bases during the last period, most notably: the Mohamed Naguib military base in July 2017, the Sidi Barani military base, and the Berenice military base, in January 2020 to protect and secure the Red Sea coast and the southern strategic direction, to push back any threats that might affect national security.

He added, "The opening of the July 3 Naval Base is a new addition and an extension of the chain of development and modernization of the armed forces, which included the provision of the latest weapons, equipment and means of modern technology."
